What is the Constructing the Gold Standard?
The Gold Standard is a prestigious accreditation awarded by Constructing Excellence to frameworks that demonstrate best practices in construction procurement.
Constructing the Gold Standard is a verification scheme initiated by Constructing Excellence, aimed at improving the quality and outcomes of public sector construction projects.
This scheme developed by Professor David Mosey CBE sets forth 24 recommendations focused on fostering best practices in construction frameworks. These principles cover crucial aspects such as collaboration, value for money, supply chain management, net-zero goals, and fair payment practices. The Gold Standard ensures that construction projects not only meet high standards in efficiency and safety but also deliver long-term value and sustainable outcomes.

We are privileged to have 3 Tier One contactors on our Major Projects Framework (MPF2) and without the support and dedication of our partners we would have not been able to achieve the Constructing Gold Standard accreditation.
Our partners must go through a rigorous tender process to become part of the Major Projects Framework and then are constantly managed against a series of key performance indicators for the duration.
